Rectifier Fundamentals

The rectifier bridge stack product is composed of four rectifier silicon chips for bridge connection, and is packaged with insulating plastic externally. The high-power rectifier bridge is wrapped with zinc metal shell outside the insulating layer to enhance heat dissipation. There are many types of rectifier bridges: flat, round, square, bench shaped (straight plug and patch), GPP and O/J structures. The maximum rectifier current is 0.5A to 100A, and the maximum reverse peak voltage is 50V to 1600V.

Half bridge is to seal half of two diode bridge rectifiers together. Two half bridges can form a bridge rectifier circuit, and one half bridge can also form a full wave rectifier circuit with center tap of transformer.

Rectifier circuit and working voltage shall be considered when selecting rectifier bridge. The G series rectifier bridge of "Guangzhou Guoxin Electronics" is commonly used in China, and the imported brands include ST, IR, SEP, GD, etc. The rectifier bridge stack is generally used in the full wave rectifier circuit, which is divided into full bridge and half bridge.

The full bridge is composed of 4 rectifier diodes connected and packaged in the form of bridge full wave rectifier circuit.

The forward current of the whole bridge is 0.5A, 1A, 1.5A, 2A, 2.5A, 3A, 5A, 10A, 20A, 35A, 50A and other specifications, and the withstand voltage (maximum reverse voltage) is 25V, 50V, 100V, 200V, 300V, 400V, 500V, 600V, 800V, 1000V and other specifications.
